Right of Texas
Sorry I have been away from blogging for a while…things have been busy around the Lone Star State!
This weekend is the Texas GOP Convention in Houston. I will be attending it and urge bloggers to join the many elected officials at the “RightOnLine” blogger booth which will be hosting an array of politicians.
Sen. Cornyn, Speaker Craddick, Lt. Governor Dewhurst and others will be stopping by the booth to mingle with bloggers.
Thursday night “RightOnline” is sponsoring a reception as well. The Happy Hour will be Thursday from 8-9:30 and will take place at Spencers inside the Hilton Hotel.
Hope to see many of you there!
Voters Can’t Be Bought…Kind Of

While I think the ultimate testament to message over money would be a Mike Huckabee nomination, at least we know voters have some care for things other than the number of T.V. commercials one runs, and the amount of money one has/spends…
Iowa: Mitt Romney spent more money, and ran more T.V. commericals, than anyone else…and lost
New Hampshire: Mitt Romney spent more money, and ran more T.V. commericals, than anyone else…and lost
South Carolina: Mitt Romney spent more money, and ran more T.V. commericals, than anyone else…and lost
Florida: Mitt Romney spent more money, and ran more T.V. commericals, than anyone else…and lost
(But no worries, he won Wyoming, Nevada, and Michigan…you know, all the cheap/easy wins so he’s still a contender *rolls eyes*)
Who Will Win The Texas Primary?

Polls show Gov. Huckabee leading among GOP voters in Texas….but is another organization stronger in the state?
The campaign held a barbeque in Navasota this past weekend and raised a ton of money. They are also having an event with Country Singer Colin Raye after Super Tuesday.
The Governor’s obviously got an advantage as being from a neighboring state and with his ability to reach out to evangelicals….
With Fred out…does any other candidate have a chance?
Can Perry’s Giuliani endorsement help him enough? Unlikely.
Thoughts?
